Jenny's Bio

I’m a Maritime girl; born and bred in the historical town of Shelburne on the South shore of Nova Scotia. Us East-Coasters value humour, nature and family. In university, I studied a variety of subjects - business, tourism and science, and I played lots of soccer. Wish I could say I was a star…I wasn’t, but I was pretty good; I made the varsity team!

After a stint working in British Columbia on Grouse Mountain, I moved to Toronto and worked in the film industry as an assistant director for just over a decade. Credits included “To Walk With Lions” (Richard Harris/Africa); “Serendipity” (John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale/Toronto); “K-19 The Widowmaker” (Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson/Nova Scotia); “Shanghai Noon” (Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson/Alberta). After that, I took two years off to raise my first child, my magnificent son Benjamin. 7 years later, I was blessed with my beautiful daughter Ella.

I've been a professional realtor servicing Toronto for the past 12 years. I’m happy because I love my job - in Real Estate you get to connect with people. You share with them what is often one of their most important landmarks, and many clients go on to become friends.

In 2015, I joined forces with fellow realtor Suzanne Bergen. We love that we're able to offer our clients "2 for the price of 1" and even more personalized service!

From the onset of a real estate transaction, whether buying, selling or leasing, my role is educating and informing my clients to ensure they achieve the best outcome - and the most money in their pocket.

Well-connected with all the pros you need - home stagers, photographers and floorplan designers that can bring your property “up that notch” to obtain the best selling price while still working within your budget, no one outworks me to get your home sold.

Each real estate project is approached as if it were my own home I was selling. I'm readily available to my clients to answer any of their questions or concerns and have an eye for the small details that can make or break a deal.

Through the whole experience whether buying, selling or renting I'll be by your side with a kind word or jest, guidance and resources to get the job done!

Suzanne's Bio

Hailing originally from Vancouver, Toronto has been my adopted home for over two decades. I'm passionate about this city and it's been very exciting to see it grow over the years into the vibrant city we know today.

Originally licensed to sell real estate in the early 90's, I left sales soon after to explore the world and live and teach in Japan. Upon my return, through the guidance of a wonderful mentor in the business, I became involved with my first income property and soon after, I project-managed my first full-gut renovation project for re-sale. Making an older home that needs some TLC shine again is an incredibly gratifying experience, albeit one with a lot of stress along the way! When opening up older homes, one often finds more than they bargained for. Always interesting is finding vintage newspapers that were used as insulation back in the day.

Throughout the years I've been frequently involved with handling leasing and property management for myself and a small group of investors. Later on, I worked alongside a contractor and learned more about the hands-on aspect of renovations. This was valuable, as rolling up my sleeves allowed me to learn more about the process than with previous projects. As I found myself always drawn back to the world of Toronto real estate through these various capacities, I returned to sales and renewed my Realtor's license in the mid 2000's. After a very fulfilling few years back in sales, I took a sabbatical to again travel (hello, India!) and then to care for a sick parent back in British Columbia.

I've been back at Remax West again for two years and am loving it! I partnered up with a veteran agent, the dynamic and personable Jennifer Rothschild, who has fantastic instincts for this business. Together, we work as a team to treat all our clients as VIP's.

Helping people find their dream homes and steering people through the often complicated process of selling and making it an enjoyable process for them makes this my dream job. A favourite testimonial from one of our sellers is "We think of you often and the fun we had during what should have been a stressful time."
